BOY, WERE WE DUE....

Mom and I had hit a dry spell for the past couple of months in the pickin arena.  We've been due to hit a big one for a while and last weekend was the day!!!  It was an estate sale in College Park and ding ding ding we were the winner........We got there really early so we could be first in line but come to find out we didn't have any competition at all.  The sale started at 8:00 so we were there at 7:00 chomping at the bit....7:15-no one---7:30-no one-7:45--no one....OK, now we start to doubt ourselves and check the address and the date of the sale.  (Yes, I have done that before--shown up for a sale on the wrong day.)  Well, here comes the guy to unlock the door and we're the only ones there.  We walk in and notice that everything has CRAZY high prices on them.  BAD SIGN!!  Long story short...he had an estate sale a while back and they didn't move much so he decided that he'd run the sale himself.  GOOD SIGN!!  He told us he's already moved out and he needs to get rid of everything.  GOOD SIGN!!  Then the moment of truth comes...you know the one I'm talking about--I ask him the price on something just to feel him out (the item I picked had a $100 price tag from the "former estate sale")  he said, "What about $10?"  OH MY LORD!!!  GAME ON---Mom and I we like: Spread out and grab anything and everything!  Here are some of the pics of what we snagged.
This sign was great!!  The guy's Dad used to own an antique store.   WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!
All this lovely junk came out of his barn.  Tons and tons of fun stuff like old hooks, pulls, windows, locks, etc...
I even like the box it was all held in.  I'll need it to sort all my "stuff."
OK..Here's one of my favorite finds of the day.  An old Sexton clock...YIPPEE!

This mirror will look great "shabbied" up..I also have a thing for wheels.  LOVE THEM!
Here's what the truck look like after we were done.  Looks like a whole bunch of nothing but there's lots of hidden treasures stuffed back there.
Another one of my favorites...I kept borrowing tools out of this old tool box to take things off the wall and it finally hit me to ask if the tool box itsself is for sale.  He thought about it for a minute which usually means no.  The he said yes but I'd have to take everything in it....UUHHH  OK!!
Here's another picture of it opened.
More stuff....

More stuff...This was sooo much fun I can't even tell you.  Although, this is great fun for us we are exhausted by the end of the morning.  Beleive it or not only two other people showed up and by then we'd already gotten everything we wanted.  AAAHHH...The pickin gods shone upon us today!!

KNOCK KNOCK...

KNOCK KNOCK....

WHO'S THERE???

BOO!!
BOO WHO???

WHAT CHA CRYING FOR...(HA! HA!-I stole that from one of my kindergarteners)

I know the joke is corny but it's totally appropriate for the way I'm feeling about having to leave High Cotton.  My Mom and I have had an antique booth over there for almost three years and LOVED IT!!  Kathy (the owner) is incredible!  I have no idea how she did all the things she did and not drop dead of exhaustion.  I was thinking that any day  I'd walk in and she'd be layed out on one of the sofas in the store or something.  I cannot tell you how wonderful she and all the dealers were over in Woodbury.  The drive just got too much for us.  I work full time, my son is playing high school sports, I junk on the weekends, try to play tennis some for my tennis team, and don't even get me started on the house, yard, etc...  Something had to give and the most reasonable thing to do was get a booth really close to home.  We've been scoping out Rockin B for a while and finally made the jump.  We got our booth up and going last week so I wanted to post some pics and let you see how it looks.  I wanted to do a before and after shot but I never think about it until it's too late!!  Oh well....TAAA  DAAAA!!!
Here's another from a different angle. (Thanks to Denise for taking these.)
Pink Chalkboard Frame--$6
LOVE this little retro stand--$75
This LONG kids table comes with two benches.  We got it from on old Sunday school room in Waycross, Ga.  It's too cute and would be great in a playroom...
This mantle would be so cool over a bed, in a foyer or maybe even over a fireplace..DUH!!  It's only $150...the pics don't do it justice.  GREAT COLOR!!  That's me taking the picture..the one with the Newnan baseball shirt.  Speaking of baseball...I have to include a pic of my son pitching.  (Bragging Mama moment..)  This a pic of him in action when he pitched against EC.  He shut em out baby!!!
And another......
OK enough of that...I am proud though!!  Here's some more stuff....
Soap for sale!!  Small $1.50--Large $4.50  These make great gifts!!
These concrete planters are just waiting for some flowers.  The two large ones are $35 each...the round one is $25.
Lord do I love old dress forms!!  Honey bun here is $150.  I also have a thing for doll heads...I know it's kinda creepy but kinda cool too.
How cute would this be in a garden...If I didn't kill everything green I keep it and put it in my yard.  It's only $65...
Some more cute stuff..The numbers shown (another crazy obsession of mine) are old railroad numbers.  By the way...the letters that spell out "vintage" and "junk" are for sale.  They are $1 a letter...fun to spell out words and they make a great statement.
OK, last pic...This vintage 4 piece set is so cute and just in time for spring.  It won't last long!!!
I lied...I had to show you a pic of one of my babies.   Well, my 100 lb baby...His name is Pax and he's a big furry bundle of LOVE!!  I'll have to take a pic of my other baby and post it..I feel like I'm playing favorites.
